Mechanical Engineer - Infrastructure

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The role will be responsible for reviewing mechanical design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, applicable standards, and approved drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.
- Supervise and monitor mechanical works on infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, structural, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and site requirements.
- Inspect mechanical installations, equipment, and systems and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Review contractor submissions, technical proposals, RFIs, and material approvals.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical input to resolve construction-related issues.
- Ensure works comply with project requirements, UAE regulations, and relevant international standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and relevant authorities as required.
- Prepare site inspection reports, technical observations, and progress updates.
- Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in site meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within infrastructure projects.
- UAE experience and Abu Dhabi project experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in consultancy/supervision roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems associated with infrastructure, utilities, roads, drainage, pumping stations, or related facilities.
- Good knowledge of relevant UAE authority requirements, international standards, and project specifications.
- Strong technical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to review technical documents and coordinate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
