Chief Engineer - Offshore Vessel - OSV

GPS Talent is recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer for an Offshore Support Vessel operating in Abu Dhabi.

Requirements

• Valid Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competency – STCW III/2.
• Minimum 48 months of sea service as Chief Engineer on AHTS, OSV and/or PSV vessels.
• Strong experience in marine machinery operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Proven ability to lead an engineering team and maintain vessel reliability during offshore operations.
• Previous experience with ADNOC operations is highly desirable.
• Valid STCW certification, seafarer’s medical certificate, seaman’s book and passport.
• Available to join on 25 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the safe and reliable operation of propulsion machinery, generators and auxiliary systems.
• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis.
• Lead the engineering team and maintain safe engine-room working practices.
• Manage bunkering, fuel and lubricant consumption, spare parts and technical stores.
• Maintain machinery records, maintenance reports and statutory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with the vessel’s Safety Management System, pollution-prevention procedures and flag-state requirements.
• Coordinate with the Master and shore technical team on machinery condition, defects and operational readiness.
