- Supports Project Management in achieving Environmental goals and KPls as set for the project.
- Can support the staff of more than one project with his knowledge of projects environmental aspects / impacts.
- Monitor and ensure subcontractors implementation of HSEMS.
- Implement and monitor performance of Environment Management System requirements
- Conduct Environment Aspect / Impact assessment for activities.
- Conduct Environmental awareness / training sessions.
- Reports to Environmental Superintendent on all project Environmental issues.
- Supports Environmental Superintendent and Project Manager in adherence to Environment Management Plans
- Performs incident and accident investigations and report findings back to Environmental Superintendent
- Assists and performs internal management system audits to monitor compliance with the company EMS
- Reporting the performance details of the Implemented HSEMS to the top management at periodic intervals and During the Management Review meetings.
- This is a generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for - at times you will be asked to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements.
- B.Sc. in Environmental Science or any relevant field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Technical certificates in Environment management
- Knowledge of International and Local applicable environmental laws and regulations
- Internal auditor with experience in auditing process
- Knowledge and understanding of the ISM Code, mandatory rules and regulation, applicable codes, guidelines and standards as appropriate.
- Practical conversion from legal into industry standards
- Familiar with incident investigation process
- Familiar with EMS audits and its reporting procedures.
- Familiar with use of environmental monitoring tools and assessment of chemical/environmental parameters
- Knowledge of Dredging/Civil Marine industry preferable
