Senior Instrumentation & Controls; I&C) Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our Manufacturing business unit. You will lead the I&C engineering, integration and testing of skid-mounted process packages, from tender stage through to FAT and site commissioning. You will be the technical focal point for OEMs and integrators, ensure package controls interface smoothly with client plant automation systems (ICSS, DCS, ESD, F&G), and support our sales and proposals team with design and cost estimates.

Reporting to the Technical Lead, this is a hands on senior role with real ownership and visible impact.

• Lead the I&C scope for modular product lines, including Chemical Injection Packages, Separator Skids, Fuel Gas Packages, Metering Skids, HIPPS Skids and Deaeration units
• Size, select and specify field instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level), control valves, on-off valves and MOVs to international standards
• Engineer Local Control Panels (PLC-based), Unit Control Panels, VFD systems, analyser systems and Machinery Monitoring Systems for critical rotating equipment
• Own E&I deliverables, including data sheets, hook-up drawings, cable block diagrams, control philosophies, functional descriptions, MTOs and RFQs
• Write clear scopes of work and manage OEMs and integrators (e.g. ABB, Siemens, Yokogawa) for ICSS, DCS, ESD and SCADA scopes
• Support tenders with BOMs, technical clarifications, bid/no-bid input and vendor pricing
• Take part in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and Alarm Rationalisation studies
• Lead FAT at our facility, and iFAT and SAT with clients and OEMs
• Coach junior engineers and share lessons learned to improve our products and processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of oil and gas experience in I&C engineering of skid‑mounted packages and control systems, including at least 5 years on ADNOC projects
• Familiarity with ADNOC AGES/AGPS requirements and relevant international codes and standards
• Proven experience in selection, sizing and testing of pressure, level, flow and temperature instruments and control valves
• Strong experience with PLC, DCS, ESD and F&G systems, including managing OEMs and integrators
• Hands‑on FAT/iFAT and commissioning experience
• Working knowledge of Smart Plant tools, AutoCAD (or equivalent), ERP and MS Project/Primavera
• Clear communication, sound judgement and a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach
