- Analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed cost estimates
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to determine the scope of work
- Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Evaluate and select suitable materials and equipment for projects
- Prepare and submit bid proposals for mechanical projects
- Track and manage project budgets and expenditures
- Communicate with suppliers and contractors to obtain pricing information
- Assist in contract negotiations and finalizing project scope
- Monitor and report on project progress and any deviations from the plan
- Provide support during project implementation to ensure estimated costs are adhered to
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical estimating.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
