Venture One is building a new venture focused on next-generation robotics, developing intelligent service robots that operate safely and efficiently in human environments. Backed by a strong institutional platform and supported by a leading incubator, the venture aims to improve productivity, safety, and efficiency across high-impact industries through the deployment of versatile robotic solutions.

The Technical Robot Operator is responsible for deploying and commissioning robot fleets across various customer sites. This role entails overseeing each robot's journey from its arrival on site to achieving stable, verified operation before transferring it to the Live Operations team. The operator will engage hands-on with robot hardware, software, and ROS-based systems to configure, test, and troubleshoot robots in the field, serving as the crucial technical liaison between site deployments and the development teams.

• Travel between sites to deploy and commission robot fleets, which includes setup, network configuration, and mapping.
• Deploy software builds and configurations, and conduct site acceptance tests prior to go-live.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, sensor, and connectivity issues, utilizing the terminal and ROS tools as necessary.
• Escalate complex issues to the development teams, providing clear logs, data, and reproduction steps.
• Transfer fully operational robots to the Live Operations team, accompanied by configuration records and known issues.
• Maintain deployment checklists and runbooks, adhering to all site safety and HSE requirements.

Field robotics and autonomous systems deployed in real-world environments (delivery robots, quadrupeds, humanoids).

• Proficient understanding of ROS / ROS 2, including nodes, topics, services, parameters, launch files, and bag files.
• Comfortable working in Linux, utilizing the terminal, and managing SSH; basic shell scripting knowledge is advantageous.
• Comprehension of robot operations (perception, localization, navigation, control), as well as familiarity with sensors, motors, drivers, and embedded components when necessary.
• Networking knowledge, including Wi-Fi, IP configuration, and 4G/5G connectivity.
• Awareness of robot safety protocols, emergency stop systems, and safe handling practices.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, or similar deployment tools is beneficial.

• Hands-on experience in deploying, operating, testing, or integrating robots, drones, or similar autonomous systems.
• A structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting under time constraints on site.
• Effective communication skills with development teams, live operations, and site staff; capable of producing concise issue reports.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining checklists, safety protocols, and documentation.
• Willingness to travel between sites and work flexible hours during deployments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Computer, or Software Engineering, or a related field.
• HSE training and certifications are desirable (or a willingness to complete them).
• A valid driving license is required.
• This is a field-based role involving regular travel between sites, in both indoor and outdoor environments, with flexible or extended hours during deployment windows.
