Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This position will report to the Finance Manager, and will be responsible for maintaining financial records and financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure all accounting transactions are accurately documented, reconciled, and reported.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the financial planning process of the organization.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow statements.

• Prepare timely year-end accounts for external auditors.

• Manage bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies between bank statements and internal accounts.

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends or irregularities that need to be addressed.

• Liaise with external parties such as banks, auditors, tax authorities etc., to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Develop internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA is preferred; however we are open to considering candidates without a degree if they have sufficient experience in the industry

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role; experience working with international companies is an advantage

• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) is essential

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Strong organizational skills coupled with great attention to detail
