Overview

The Senior Specialist – Finance Projects will play a critical role in driving financial process transformation across Core
42. This position focuses on evaluating existing financial workflows, enhancing controls, and supporting the implementation and optimization of enterprise systems, including ERP platforms. As Core
42 continues to scale, the role will contribute to building robust, efficient, and scalable finance processes aligned with organizational growth, innovation, and regulatory requirements. You will partner closely with finance, operations, IT, and commercial teams to strengthen financial performance, improve data integrity, and support strategic decision‑making.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.
  • Support revenue recognition activities in line with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and contractual terms.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly client P&L statements to assess profitability, identify variances, and highlight performance gaps.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis by comparing actual results against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet schedules for client‑related balances, including unbilled revenue, unearned revenue, accruals, and deferred costs.
  • Review client contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and pricing structures to ensure commercial viability and financial accuracy.
  • Analyze revenues, costs, margins, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
  • Partner with business and operational stakeholders to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and control gaps through detailed financial analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements by strengthening and reinforcing financial controls.
  • Collaborate with ERP and IT teams to support system implementations, integrations, and enhancements to data integrity and reporting.
  • Develop, document, and maintain finance processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams to ensure adoption of new processes and system changes.
  • Stay current on finance best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional qualification such as CMA, CFA, ACCA, or CA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in finance roles within international organizations, ideally in the technology or related sectors.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to understand operational and contractual impacts on financial performance.
  • Proven experience in defining, improving, and tracking finance processes and performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across functions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and manage ambiguity.
  • Experience supporting or leading major financial system or ERP implementations.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, data analytics platforms, and workflow‑management technologies.
