Operational Risk Identification & Assessment
The Operational Risk Manager will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of key risk frameworks for the bank, partnering with all business areas to ensure a sound risk management environment. This role involves working across multiple non-financial risk domains to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, while enabling sustainable growth.
- Take ownership of the Risk Controlled Self-Assessment (RSCA) programme. Support in spearheading the Bank’s effort on Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) by updating the existing templates, restructuring the impact assess-ment matrices and control efficiency ratings. Performing the RCSA across all Bank functions
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring key risks across business units.
- Support risk reviews for new products, processes, and technology initiatives.
- Take ownership of the Operational Risk Events process to ensure the tracking of risk events, incidents, and remediation actions.
- Assess and make recommendations to enhance business continuity plans, crisis management, disaster recovery, operational resilience tracking and re-cording.
- Support the ongoing development and execution of risk reporting, for both ex-ternal reporting and internal risk management purposes.
- Prepare risk dashboards, MIS reports, and coordinate the establishment of key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Support the reporting requirements of the various Committee meetings.
- Conduct periodic monitoring and reporting of Risk Appetite Statement Metrics for the Risk and Compliance Committee, as well as for the Board Risk & Compliance Committee.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel norms, local banking regulations).
- Establish the Operational Risk Committee for the Bank.
- Contribute to the stress scenario, testing and development of the bank's ICAAP and IRAP documents for regulatory submissions
- Assist in internal and external audits related to risk management, specifically non-financial risks.
