Responsibilities

  • Managing regular and effective client interaction and providing optimal solutions to target client needs.
  • Supporting the DCM marketing efforts and transaction execution, in addition to providing resource assistance to the GCF teams as and when required.
  • Meet annual targets as provided by global Head of DCM Origination.
Job Purpose

  • Managing regular and effective client interaction and providing optimal solutions to target client needs.
  • Supporting the DCM marketing efforts and transaction execution, in addition to providing resource assistance to the GCF teams as and when required.
  • Meet annual targets as provided by global Head of DCM Origination.
Key Accountabilities
  • Perform global credit markets research on daily/weekly basis and preparing pitch-books
  • Setting up and updating market analytics databases including
  • Produce complex market analytics from Bloomberg & Dealogic data for pitch books and related presentations
  • Extracting economic, technical and other quantitative data from Bloomberg & Dealogic systems, to allow the DCM team to be better equipped for meetings
  • Handle DCM related documentation (Islamic and Conventional) and support in deal execution
  • Assist senior team members in managing deal requirements/execution and closing DCM mandates to ensure completion of transaction reviews/post-deal analysis
  • Preparing for and/or coordinating weekly syndicate market updates and documentation update calls, in addition to coordinating deal and non-deal roadshows in conjunction with Bond Syndicate and collating feedback from investors
  • Ensure appropriate internal and external documentation and approvals are secured, and proper filing system is set up for each completed transaction to comply with FAB internal and external audit and compliance requirements.
  • To support Executive Directors in generating specific revenue and volume targets as defined by Head of DCM
  • Assist in managing all transaction aspects of deals/clients assigned from origination/structuring to documentation and execution, maintaining high professional standards
  • Develop core client origination activities; building productive relationships with clients at a senior level (CFO/Treasurer).
  • Work alongside Bond Syndicate/GM Sales & Trading for DCM transactions to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Maintain positive working relationships with team members, Legal, Finance, Operations and other stakeholders
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / business or related discipline. MBA/MSc (preferred) and/or professional qualifications (e.g. CFA/ACA/CAIA/ACCA)
Minimum Experience
  • Preferably 3-5 years of experience in the Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets or related activity
  • Strategic thinker and agent for change
  • Sound knowledge of investment appraisals, financial statement analysis and modelling, and legal/regulatory environments
  • Proven track record of delivery against internal objectives and ability to work under time pressure with a particular focus on attention to deal
  • Fluent in English & Arabic (advantageous). Knowledgeable of local, Middle East and International markets
  • Good interpersonal, motivation, resource management & marketing-orientated skills
  • Must cooperate with other members of the team; a "team player"
  • Displays original thinking and creativity - follows policies and procedures
  • Generates suggestions for improving work life balance/environment and working in a collegiate manner with all stakeholders

Skilled in managing deals with tight deadlines and good organizational skills
