The Junior Accountant will support the Finance Controller in daily accounting operations, month-end closing activities, audits, and compliance matters. The role requires strong attention to detail, good coordination skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities /Duties :- Month-End Closing Support
- Assist in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year end closing activities.
- Generate routine financial reports including aging reports, trial balances, and BU reports.
- Assist in the annual Financial Year (FY) audit process by preparing required documents and responding to auditor queries.
- Support corporate tax and VAT reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission and accurate documentation.
- Provide support for ICV compliance, including data collection and reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure alignment with company policies.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure yearly inventory & asset physical count is completed and verified.
- Coordinate activities related to asset capitalisation, transfers, and disposals with Operations.
- Review AR/AP ageing while supporting billing & procurement on timely collection & payment.
- Coordinate with the sourcing/procurement team to review open purchase orders (POs) and support PO clean-up activities compliantly.
- Work with the Global Accounting Services (GAS) or relevant finance teams to review and clean up balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper reconciliation.
Perform additional accounting and finance tasks as assigned by the Finance Controller
Ability & Skills- Expertise in ERP Oracle is a must
- Expertise in MS Office
- Knowledge in reporting tools, such as Power BI / Tableaux /
- Experience in working collaboratively and constructively at all levels, including senior managers to achieve company goals
- Good people and diplomacy skills at all levels within the organization
- Driven and pro-active with a focus on adding value
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- 2-3 years experience. Hands-on experience in Oracle is a MUST
- Candidates with Oil & Gas experience will be preferred though not mandatory

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce & Accounting
