Analyst- Investment and Strategy

JOB SCOPE

Investment Analyst performs intermediate to advanced level analytical, financial and operational activities related to proposed deals and to existing investments. Assists the head of the departments in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, closing, monitoring and exiting investments. As well as lead research activities and formulation of the corporate strategy at Imkan’s group level.

• Support screening and preliminary analysis of new investment opportunities.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis).
• Assist in preparing investment memoranda and internal presentations.
• Conduct market research on real estate sectors, trends, and competitive landscape.
• Support due diligence processes (financial, commercial, and operational review).
• Track portfolio performance (budget vs. actual) and highlight key variances.
• Assist in capital structuring analysis (debt, equity, mezzanine options).
• Coordinate with finance, legal, and external advisors during transactions.
• Contribute to preparation of business plans and long-range planning inputs.
• Prepare periodic reports and dashboards for senior management decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, economics, business management or any relevant field.
• MBA degree from a reputable business school or CFA is a plus. At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in all aspects of investment, strategy and asset management or related functions
• Ability to handle heavy workload, and work effectively within a team
• Exposure to M&A, portfolio theory and portfolio optimization concepts.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience creating and manipulating advanced financial models specifically for Real Estate & Direct investments
• Advanced knowledge of valuation concepts like NPV, IRR and various valuation techniques like Discounted Cash Flows Method, Price Earnings Method, etc.
• Proficient usage of MS Programs Fluency in English (written and spoken). Arabic is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
