Head of Tax, Sovereign Wealth Fund

We have partnered with an Abu Dhabi based Sovereign Wealth Fund, to find them a Head of Tax.

• Senior exposure – the role reports to the GC and forms part of the legal team.
• Global coverage – fully international strategy and direction across all asset classes.
• Wide range of investments – funds, M&A, debt, treasury and derivatives, this covers it all.

• Act as the centralised go to person for all global tax matters.
• Leading tax engagement with foreign and domestic authorities, regulators, and ministries.
• Monitor and maintain eligibility for foreign exemptions.

Whilst there is a degree of flexibility, there are some core guidelines that make the backbone of the client expectations:

• 15+ years of experience in international tax.
• Qualified in law, accounting, finance, or tax.
• Ideally strong law firm, Big 4 or in-house work (all combined ideal).
• Exposure to working within a SWF, pension fund, or global asset manager type of institution.
• Demonstrated success at managing tax affairs related to Section 892 IRC compliance.
