Manager - Tax

As a Tax Manager in our Finance department, you will lead the tax function by providing strategic guidance and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing tax planning strategies that minimize liabilities while maximizing tax benefits. Your role will involve overseeing tax compliance and reporting, conducting thorough tax research, and offering technical guidance throughout the organization.

You will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and legal teams to align tax strategies with our overall business objectives. Additionally, you will manage tax risks, handle audits, and lead a team of tax professionals to enhance tax efficiency and compliance across the company.

• Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to reduce tax liabilities and optimize benefits, while identifying tax-saving opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Provide proactive tax advice on business decisions, transactions, and investments.
• Tax Compliance and Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and submission of tax returns in line with regulatory requirements. Oversee tax audits, appeals, and controversy resolutions to ensure effective issue management. Monitor and adapt to changes in tax laws to maintain compliance.
• Tax Research and Technical Guidance: Conduct comprehensive tax research and provide expert technical guidance on evolving tax laws, regulations, and company policies. Develop and maintain tax documentation and support business units with corporate tax, VAT, and international tax matters.

Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, legal, and other departments to ensure tax strategies support business goals. Represent the company in engagements with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
• Risk Management and Audit: Identify and mitigate tax risks, manage the tax audit process, and maintain productive relationships with tax authorities to facilitate smooth dispute resolution. Implement internal controls and best practices to minimize risks and ensure compliance.

We seek a highly qualified professional with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred. A mandatory professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA is required. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of experience in tax management or financial taxation, including 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing tax planning, audits, and compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books) and advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, deep knowledge of tax laws and regulations—including UAE Tax Laws, OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, and IFRS tax treatments—and excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex tax concepts. Proven leadership skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently are critical to success in this role.
