Head of Portfolio & Investment Risk About the Company

Our client is an investment management conglomerate backed by a SWF, with diversified portfolio. It takes an integrated approach to investing, building and managing assets and projects across a broad mix of sectors - from infrastructure, real estate and utilities, to transport and supply chains, agriculture, healthcare and financial investments.

• Build out the risk methodology and toolkit for the portfolio from scratch, defining how risk is measured and monitored as the platform scales across asset classes
• Keep the underlying risk models sharp, testing and refining them as the portfolio evolves
• Provide a forward-looking and backward-looking read on portfolio and strategy risk, flagging what's changing and why
• Sit alongside Investment Teams and the Investment Committee on new deals, bringing an independent risk lens to the table
• Stress-test the portfolio and specific investments under different scenarios, with a focus on both returns and liquidity
• Feed risk insight into the broader performance review cycle
• Balance setting the overall risk agenda with staying hands-on in the detail day to day

• 20+ years in portfolio or investment risk, with strong quantitative grounding
• Broad asset-class exposure - private and public equity, infrastructure and beyond
• Skilled in multi-asset-class modelling (factor-based and fundamental)
• Deep experience in Total Portfolio Approach, Strategic Asset Allocation, scenario analysis and stress-testing
• Comes from a mature, established risk function, with international exposure a plus
