Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Financial Crime
Eden Rose is currently engaged with a banking institution within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) who are seeking a Compliance Associate to support the regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance framework as a second line of defence function.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance and MLRO this role requires 50% Regulatory Compliance experience and 50% Financial Crime Compliance (AML/CFT/Sanctions/KYC).
Key Responsibilities:- Support implementation and maintenance of the Bank's Regulatory Compliance Framework.
- Provide compliance guidance for business, operations and support functions on applicable FSRA regulations and regulatory obligations
- Assist with regulatory impact assessments arising from new or amended FSRA, ADGM and UAE regulations
- Monitor developments issued by FSRA, ADGM, UAE AML Executive Office, UAE Financial Intelligence Unit, Relevant international standard setters and regulators
- Maintain regulatory change logs and coordinate implementation of required actions.
- Support policy and procedure enhancements resulting from regulatory developments.
- Review customer onboarding, periodic review and event-driven review cases.
- Review name screening alerts generated through onboarding and transaction systems.
- Review AML transaction monitoring alerts.
Assist the MLRO in gathering information relating to suspicious activity investigations.
The Compliance Associate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management or related discipline.
Professional qualifications such as ICA Diploma in Compliance or ACAMS Certification, or any equivalent regulatory or compliance certification is preferred. You will have a minimum 5-8 years of experience within banking, financial services, fintech, or regulated financial institutions. You will have experience in both Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime Compliance and experience working within organizations regulated by FSRA, DFSA, CBUAE or other recognized financial regulators.
Experience dealing with corporate, institutional and high-risk clients.
