Accounting & Operations – Vice President; Emiratization Project

On behalf of a leading international banking group, we are seeking an experienced Accounting & Operations – Vice President to join its team in Abu Dhabi.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance and banking professional to contribute to the effective management of accounting activities, banking operations and financial controls within a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and integrity of financial transactions, while supporting regulatory compliance, operational excellence and the continuous improvement of internal processes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles, banking operations and the regulatory environment, combined with a structured approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to accuracy and control.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial operations or banking operations.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and banking processes.
• Familiarity with banking transactions, reconciliations and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
• A proactive, professional and collaborative approach, with strong communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.

• Accounting & Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, support the preparation of financial statements and local regulatory reports, and contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payables and receivables, ensuring appropriate documentation and adherence to internal procedures.
• Banking Operations: Ensure accurate and timely execution of banking transactions, including remittances, loans, deposits, Trade Finance and Treasury Operations.
• Reconciliations & Controls: Perform and support account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure the integrity of financial and operational data.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable banking regulations, internal policies, operational procedures and relevant control frameworks.
