Senior Manager - Government & Public Affairs

The Role

The Senior Manager – Government & Public Affairs is responsible for representing RAK Ceramics with ministries, government authorities, and other public sector organizations in the UAE. The role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with key government stakeholders to improve the company’s visibility, reputation, and access to public sector opportunities. The role holder will also identify and support opportunities for RAK Ceramics to participate in government projects and initiatives, while working closely with the relevant internal business teams.

• Represent RAK Ceramics with ministries, government authorities, government entities, and other public sector stakeholders in the UAE.
• Build and strengthen strategic relationships with government and public sector organizations that enhance the company’s visibility, reputation, and access within the public sector.
• Identify opportunities for RAK Ceramics to participate in government projects and initiatives, working closely with the relevant teams.
• Maintain and grow the company’s network with UAE government entities and public sector organizations to support business needs.
• Act as the primary point of contact between RAK Ceramics and government/public affairs stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Keep track of government priorities, public sector initiatives, tenders, and strategic projects where RAK Ceramics may have business opportunities.
• Maintain an updated stakeholder map and engagement tracker covering key contacts, meetings, actions, ownership, and outcomes.
• Ensure all government and public affairs activities are handled professionally, ethically, and in line with company policies and applicable laws.
• Prepare updates, reports, presentations, and briefing notes for the CHRO and senior management on key meetings, relationships, and opportunities.
• Work closely with Sales, Projects, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure proper follow-up and alignment where required.

Some of the key competencies required for the role include:

• Government Relations & Public Affairs Acumen
• Good understanding of the UAE government ecosystem, public sector engagement protocols, and opportunity landscape.
• Strategic Stakeholder Management
• Ability to prepare briefing notes, stakeholder maps, reports, presentations, and updates for senior management.

• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to engage with senior government and public sector stakeholders with confidence, diplomacy, and professionalism.
• Strong networking, relationship-building, coordination, and follow-up skills.

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree will be an advantage.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in government relations, public affairs, stakeholder management, or a related field in the UAE.
• Experience or exposure to the building construction, real estate, infrastructure, or building materials industries will be an added advantage.
