Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lab Technician to join our team in the Oil and Petrochemicals sector. The Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses on samples of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine tests and analyses on samples of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products using various laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Record and interpret test results accurately and report any deviations or abnormalities to the relevant personnel.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols in handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all test results and other laboratory data.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new testing methods and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in laboratory techniques and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Lab Technician in the Oil and Petrochemicals sector.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computer software for data analysis and record-keeping.
