Overview
As a CT/MRI Technologist (22J25), you will have the opportunity to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). You will assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions, operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate records. A deep understanding of human anatomy, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent patient care, attention to detail, and compliance with regulatory standards are essential to guarantee quality imaging services.
Responsibilities- Operate CT and MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for medical evaluation.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, provide clear instructions, and ensure comfort and safety.
- Review and interpret physician instructions to accurately execute imaging protocols.
- Maintain proper operation of imaging equipment through regular cleanings and performance checks.
- Analyze images for quality and determine if additional views are needed for comprehensive diagnostics.
- Document patient records and imaging results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to enhance the diagnostic imaging process.
- Uphold safety and sanitary standards by adhering to safety protocols and hygiene guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in imaging technology and radiology practices.
- Provide emergency service coverage with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Handle and process patient information in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Educate patients on imaging procedures and communicate results and next steps effectively.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a closely related field.
- Valid certification as a CT and/or MRI Technologist from an accredited body.
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a CT/MRI Technologist.
- Strong understanding of imaging procedures and the ability to interpret clinical data.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interactions.
- Proficiency in using radiographic and imaging equipment with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle various patient care situations while maintaining professional composure.
