Position: Occupational Therapist - Full-Time
An occupational therapist may perform a variety of tasks daily, depending on the needs of individual patients and the facility where they work. They may work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or provide home health care services.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluation/Re-evaluation: Administer and evaluate clients using standardized assessments to gauge physical, emotional, cognitive, and sensory abilities, determining the need for occupational therapy interventions.Treatment: Assist clients in achieving their goals through neuromuscular reeducation, therapeutic activities, exercises, manual therapy, self-care training, cognitive development, sensory integration, wheelchair management, and wound care. Ensure safety at discharge and support continued progress with home programs, family instruction, and recommendations for assistive devices and ongoing therapy.Contribution to Healthcare Team: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team through documentation and charting in patient and department records.Maintenance of Department Standards: Comply with professional requirements, pursue continued education, and review best practices annually to develop the occupational therapy department further.#J-18808-Ljbffr
