MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To lead and manage the nursing team in the provision of patient‑centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team

To ensure evidenced based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards

To ensure a positive patient care experience by developing employees and creating an environment for team engagement

To manage allocated clinical and non‑clinical resources in a cost effective and efficient manner to enhance safe patient care

To ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards to ensure continuous quality improvement

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognised/accredited Nursing Institute

valid BLS certificate

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential:
At least 5 years’ outpatient nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital/clinic

Desired: 3-5 Years’ senior nursing experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrate the ability to implement all five (5) stages of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation)
Application of the nursing scope of practices as stipulated in the regulatory framework
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
Demonstrate competence in assessment of all nursing procedures
Demonstrate competence in the application of key clinical equipment used in the clinic
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of patient care and nursing management
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, statutory regulations and directives, and the application thereof to management of the nursing team/unit
Demonstrate the ability to cost‑effectively control expenses
Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of all relevant external standards and manage compliance to these standards
Risk management principles, systems and best practice
Stock control principles and management
Verbal and written communication skills in English
