We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our Khalifa City branch and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Position: HSE Officer
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in line with UAE regulations and ADEK requirements.
Ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense
, Municipality
, and ADEK safety standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits across the campus.
Ensure all fire safety systems, emergency exits, alarms, and evacuation procedures are fully functional and compliant.
Organize and lead emergency drills (fire drills, evacuation drills, lockdown drills).
Maintain accurate HSE documentation, incident reports, and compliance records.
Investigate accidents/incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Conduct HSE induction and training sessions for staff and contractors.
Coordinate with external authorities during inspections and ensure timely resolution of observations.
Promote a strong safety culture within the school community.
RequirementsMandatory Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (QFE Level
7) in Health & Safety
OR
a Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with NEBOSH / IOSH certification
Minimum5 years’ experience
in HSE, specifically within a high-risk environment
Proven experience in a
school setting
(essential)
Strong knowledge of school health & safety systems, policies, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with
ADEK
and
ADPHC
compliance requirements
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Advantageous
Qualifications:
Certified First Aider
Fire Fighting training certification
Training in Risk Assessment and Hazardous Substances Management
The candidate must be confident in implementing, monitoring, and enforcing HSE standards in line with regulatory authorities and internal policies.
