Consultant Clinical Psychologist
The Consultant Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services within the Abu Dhabi CAMHS General Adults Specialist Service Maternal Mental Health and Eating Disorders Intellectual Disability and Mental Health of Older Adults programs.
This position requires a commitment to evidence-based practice and the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities- Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a diverse range of mental health conditions.
- Contributing to service development, research, and supervision of junior staff.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conducting therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a recognized program.
- Postdoctoral training or equivalent experience in relevant specialisms (e.g., perinatal mental health, eating disorders, intellectual disability, older adult mental health).
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Health Authority - Abu Dhabi).
- Extensive experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of mental health conditions across different age groups and presentations.
- Proven expertise in evidence-based psychological therapies.
- Experience in service development, leadership, and supervision of junior clinicians.
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and professional development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
