Job Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for optimizing patient medication therapy, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines, and providing expert pharmaceutical care within hospital and clinical settings. The role involves close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, monitor, and review patient‑specific treatment plans while promoting evidence‑based practice and medication safety.
Qualifications- Special Certificate required
- BSc Degree with at least 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist or with clinical responsibilities (UAE National, NLT 1 year as clinical pharmacist)
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm‑D) with at least 1 year experience as a clinical pharmacist
- Post‑baccalaureate Pharm‑D with at least 1 year experience as a clinical pharmacist
- Post‑baccalaureate MS with at least 1 year experience as a clinical pharmacist
- Supervise junior staff and ensure their adherence to applicable rules and policies.
- Participate in departmental organization, regulatory bodies, and clinical projects.
- Optimize patient care in defined wards and units by planning, managing, monitoring, advising, and reviewing specialist pharmaceutical care programs.
- Undertake medication reviews and histories of newly admitted patients to identify problems or medication issues that may influence the treatment plan, including simplifying complex regimens for patients in designated wards.
