To assess, diagnose, and monitor neurological disorders by studying the electrical activity of the nervous system using specialized tests and equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform neurophysiological tests (EEG, EMG, Evoked Potentials)
- Interpret test results to aid diagnosis
- Collaborate with neurologists and surgeons
- Monitor neural function during surgeries
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Stay updated with neurophysiology advancements
- Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments
- Typical daytime hours; minimal night shifts
- Hospital, surgical, or research lab environments
- May involve intraoperative monitoring during surgeries
- Reports to Head of Neurology or Clinical Director
- Collaborates with neurologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technicians
- May be part of a centralized or interdisciplinary team
- Participates in regular team meetings and case reviews
- Deliver accurate and timely neurophysiological assessments
- Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement and research initiatives

- Works collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

- PhD or MD in Neurophysiology or related field
- Certification (e.g., ABCN or equivalent)
- Proficiency in neurophysiological testing equipment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Bachelor’s and Master’s in neuroscience or related field
- Completion of fellowship/training in neurophysiology
- 1–2 years clinical or research experience preferred
- Experience in hospital or academic settings
