Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Optometrist to join our team in Bani Yas City. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is looking to progress their career in the optical field. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings and other related services.

The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of providing a high level of patient care.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Optometrist will be to provide comprehensive eye care services to patients including performing thorough assessments, recommending corrective lenses or contact lenses based on their patient’s needs, performing refractive procedures such as laser vision correction or cataract surgery co-management, educating patients on proper eye care techniques, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases and monitoring patient progress over time.

The Optometrist should also be comfortable discussing patient medical history in order to make informed decisions regarding their care.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position the candidate must possess a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited college or university program along with active state licensure in optometry or ophthalmology. Additional qualifications include strong communication skills; ability to work independently; strong problem solving skills; working knowledge of optical equipment; ability to use electronic health records (EHRs); experience working with diverse populations;

as well as professional certification from the American Board of Optometry (ABO). Experience working in a corporate setting would be beneficial but not required.
