Role Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Health Coach. As part of our team in Abu Dhabi, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support sustainable lifestyle changes and improved health outcomes through evidence-based coaching interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and group health coaching sessions both individually and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Utilize internationally recognized coaching models to facilitate goal-setting, behaviour modification, and sustained lifestyle changes.
- Engage patients using effective patient-centered communication and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Apply a variety of evidence-based frameworks to encourage healthy habits and support chronic disease prevention and management.
- Accurately document patient interactions and progress using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and digital health platforms where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and other care team members to ensure integrated patient care.
- Provide data-driven health coaching by interpreting patient-generated health data and reporting from wearable devices.
- Generate progress and outcome reports as required.
- Possess a current Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi professional license or be eligible to obtain a DOH license.
- Professional background as a Nurse or Allied Health Professional.
- Completed a Health Coaching Certification Program (minimum 40 hours of coach-specific training).
- Preferred certifications: UKIHCA, NBHWC, HCANZA, or NHS Certified Health Coach.
- Ability to obtain Association for Coaching (AC) accreditation within 12 weeks of appointment. Priority given to candidates already accredited by AC.
- Meet AC accreditation requirements: minimum 100 coaching hours, minimum 6 coaching supervision sessions, client references, coaching case study, reflective practice documentation, and adherence to AC ethical standards.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Experience with healthcare technology platforms and digital health tools.
- Strong understanding of goal setting frameworks, behaviour change methodologies, health coaching models, and patient engagement techniques.
- Experience interpreting patient-generated health data, including reports from wearable technology.
