Specialist, Access to Care
Responsible for booking appointments for patients to best match access to physician’s schedule within the Contact Centre.
Process and follow up on pre-registration, appointment, and scheduling work queues efficiently.
Provide clear, non-clinical instructions to patients regarding their requirements prior to arrival.
Identify patient financial liability and coordinate hand-offs to Financial Counsellors when necessary.
Handle non-appointment related inquiries and provide accurate information to enhance the patient journey.
Deliver a first-class patient experience by fully embracing the "Patients First" values and organizational culture.
Maintain high standards of accuracy in data entry and scheduling to ensure seamless clinical operations.
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of1-3 years of experience in healthcare access, patient navigation, or community health programs.
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare systems, insurance complexities, and social determinants of health.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software.
