Key Responsibilities- Technology Specification: Define technical requirements and specifications for IIoT systems, digital tools, and Industry 4.0 technologies, including sensors, edge devices, cloud platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and evaluate emerging technologies suitable for manufacturing applications.
- Develop and maintain standards for IIoT architecture, cybersecurity, and data integration to ensure scalability and compatibility.
- Implementation and Integration: Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of IIoT and digitalization projects, from concept and design to deployment and optimization.
- Oversee the integration of IIoT solutions with existing manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SCADA) to enable real‑time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process automation.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners to ensure successful deployment of hardware and software solutions.
- Digital Transformation Leadership: Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 principles, including smart manufacturing, digital twins, machine learning, and automation, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute a digitalization roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Champion data‑driven decision‑making by implementing advanced analytics and visualization tools to derive actionable insights from manufacturing data.
- Project Management: Plan, manage, and deliver complex IIoT and digitalization projects on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, technology adoption, and ROI.
- Training and Change Management: Develop training programs to upskill employees on IIoT systems, digital tools, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Lead change management initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and ensure smooth adoption of new technologies across the organization.
- Compliance and Cybersecurity: Ensure all IIoT and digital solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Implement robust security measures to protect manufacturing systems and data from cyber threats.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IIoT, digitalization, or Industry 4.0 initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in specifying and implementing IIoT technologies, including IoT platforms, sensors, edge computing, and cloud integration.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SCADA) and their integration with IIoT solutions.
- Experience with data analytics, machine learning, and digital twin technologies.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) and cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex technology projects.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive organizational change.
- Certifications in Industry 4.0, IIoT, or project management (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
