Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Business Analyst withhands-on experience in Newgen platforms to support operationaltransformation initiatives within the banking sector. The role focuses onworkflow automation, process optimization, document management, and low-codeapplication development. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain knowledge in Banking and Financial Services, along with proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution delivery using Newgen BPMplatforms such as iBPS, Omni Docs, BAM, O2MS, or similar modules.
This role requires close collaboration with businessstakeholders, product owners, solution architects, and development teams todeliver automation and operational efficiency across key banking areas,including Trade Finance, Credit Approval and Lending, Loan Origination,Customer Onboarding, and Account Opening and Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather,analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for Newgen-based solutions.
- Analyzeexisting business processes and workflows to identify gaps andinefficiencies, and recommend optimized process designs to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Facilitate workshops, brainstorming, and requirement-gathering sessions to map keybanking processes including Trade Finance, Lending, Corporate Banking,Customer Onboarding, and Account Maintenance.
- Translatebusiness needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases; develop and maintain documentation such as BRD, FRS,gap analysis, and impact assessments.
- Defineand document integration requirements between Newgen platforms and internal/external systems, including core banking systems, middleware,customer-facing channels, and third-party or regulatory systems.
- Assessand support management of operational and financial risks, ensuringsolutions comply with bank policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Newgen implementation teams to design and configure workflows, forms,business rules, and system integrations.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business expectations and regulatory standards.
- Supportdeployment, go-live, and post-implementation phases to ensure smoothtransition and user adoption.
- Actas a subject matter expert in BPM, workflow automation, and bankingoperations.
- Serveas the primary liaison between business users and technical teams toensure clear communication and timely delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’sor Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 8+years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering Newgen platform implementations (iBPS, Omni Docs,BAM, O2MS, or similar).
- Strongdomain expertise in Banking and Financial Services, with experience across
Lending, Trade Finance, Payments, and Customer Onboarding. - Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, process re-engineering, workflowdesign, and functional documentation.
- Hands-onexposure to BPM platforms, system integrations, and digital process automation initiatives.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as JIRA or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluentin English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in digital transformation and automation initiatives in Banking and Financial Services (BFSI).
- Certificationssuch as CBAP or Agile certifications are a plus.
