Dicetek, a leading technology solutions provider in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join their IT team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in cloud‑based database management and a passion for optimizing database performance and security.
Job TitleDatabase Administrator
Key Responsibilities- Manage and administer cloud database platforms, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery.
- Design, implement, and maintain high‑availability (HA) and disaster‑recovery (DR) configurations.
- Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure optimal system operation.
- Implement database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.
- Automate routine database operations and document standard operating procedures.
- Provide support during production incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis for database‑related issues.
- Strong hands‑on experience with relational and/or No
SQL databases in cloud environments. - Proven expertise in backup, recovery, HA/DR, and performance optimization.
- Experience in automation and scripting for database operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced IT environment.
- Preference for candidates currently based in the UAE.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are highly desirable.
