Location: Dubai
Job Responsibilities- Handle escalated backup and storage issues from L1 teams.
- Monitor backup jobs, schedules, and storage system performance.
- Troubleshoot failed backup jobs and storage connectivity issues.
- Manage SAN, NAS, and DAS storage environments.
- Perform firmware updates, patching, and system health checks.
- Optimize backup policies and storage configurations.
- Support disaster recovery testing and data recovery activities.
- Maintain documentation, incident reports, and utilization reports.
- Coordinate with L3 teams, vendors, and hardware providers.
- Experience with enterprise backup tools:
Veritas Net Backup, Veeam, Commvault. - Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and data protection processes.
- Hands‑on experience with storage technologies: SAN, NAS, DAS.
- Experience with Dell EMC, Net App, HPE storage systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Solar Winds and Nagios.
- Knowledge of VMware and Hyper‑V integration with storage systems.
- Experience using Service Now or Jira ticketing systems.
- Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS)
- Net App Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination
- Ability to work in fast‑paced enterprise environments
