Cloud Operations (Cloud Ops) Engineer
Contract : 1 year
Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Cloud Ops Engineer to operate, manage, and support cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of cloud platforms while managing monitoring, incident response, patching, and capacity planning. This role is critical for maintaining seamless cloud operations and supporting enterprise workloads on cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor cloud platforms and services to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.
- Manage incident detection, investigation, and resolution for cloud infrastructure issues.
- Perform patch management, system updates, and routine maintenance for cloud workloads.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure scalable cloud operations.
- Manage and maintain cloud resources including Amazon EC2, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and related services.
- Implement automation for operational tasks using scripts or tools like Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-native automation services.
- Support deployment pipelines and coordinate with Dev Ops teams to ensure smooth application releases.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and incident reports.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance policies within cloud environments.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in cloud operations, cloud administration, or system operations.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as Amazon Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows Server) and server administration.
- Familiarity with networking, load balancing, and security configurations in cloud environments.
- Strong scripting or automation skills using Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues under pressure.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator – Associate or Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines.
