We are looking, on behalf of our client, for an experienced Cloud Operations Specialist to manage and optimize cloud environments across multiple platforms (Azure, AWS, G42 Cloud). This role requires both technical expertise and business engagement, combining cloud billing and cost optimization with stakeholder management, governance, and customer-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Cloud Operations & OptimizationOversee daily cloud operations, including monitoring, provisioning, and performance management.
Track and manage cloud billing across business units, ensuring transparency and cost accuracy.
Lead cost optimization initiatives such as rightsizing, reserved instances, and automation.
Ensure operational stability of cloud workloads and coordinate issue resolution with vendors and support teams.
Governance & Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Security, Compliance) to align cloud strategies with organizational goals.
Act as the main liaison between cloud vendors and internal teams, handling escalations, SLA performance, and roadmap discussions.
Support cloud governance programs, including policy enforcement, audit readiness, and risk management activities.
Customer‑Facing EngagementServe as the point of contact for business units consuming cloud services.
Translate business needs into practical cloud service solutions in partnership with technical teams.
Conduct regular reviews of cloud usage with stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations.
Support onboarding and enablement of new teams adopting cloud technologies.
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience8+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 4 years in cloud operations, cloud management, or platform support, and 4+ years in client‑facing roles.
Hands‑on experience with at least one major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, G42 Cloud).
Strong knowledge of cloud billing, subscriptions, licensing, and tagging policies.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in customer‑facing contexts.
Preferred SkillsCloud platform certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent).
Familiarity with cloud cost management tools (Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Cloud Health, etc.).
Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
Soft SkillsComfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Highly proactive, organized, and detail‑oriented.
Ability to communicate both technical and financial information to non‑technical audiences.
