Our client is aiming to become the premier cryptocurrency exchange in the MENA region and worldwide. They will be offering a platform that can provide a seamless, secure and culturally considered crypto experience i.e. built by experts from and for the region.
Job purposeOur client is seeking a System Administrator to manage their IT office infrastructure in their modern Abu Dhabi office. The successful candidate will ensure maximum uptime and flawless performance of personal PCs and employee workstations, while providing fast and polite IT support to resolve user issues and technical requests promptly.
Duties and responsibilitiesYour specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing local servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues promptly, minimising downtime for the business
- Overseeing IT security, user permissions, and access controls to safeguard company data and systems
- Setting up workstations and onboarding new team members, ensuring a smooth technology experience from day one
- Collaborating with global IT teams on infrastructure upgrades, projects, and the implementation of new technologies
- Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact operations
- Maintaining accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures
- Managing software licensing, updates, and patch management across all systems
- Supporting backup and disaster recovery processes to protect critical business data
- Providing end‑user training and guidance on IT tools, systems, and best practices
- Liaising with third‑party vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and support contracts
- Responding to IT support requests via helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution within agreed service levels
- 1+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), WAN, and VPN solutions
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper‑V) is advantageous
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical users
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to IT infrastructure management
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous
