The Innovation Expert will play a key role in delivering the organization’s innovation strategy through fostering a culture of innovation across departments. The selected candidate will act as a catalyst and advisor to promote innovative thinking, identify opportunities for process improvement, and design mechanisms that enable staff and management to co-create and pilot innovative Proof of Concepts and solutions aligned with the institution’s strategic objectives.
The position requires close collaboration with departments, senior management, and external partners to ensure that innovation becomes an embedded, sustainable, and measurable part of the organization’s DNA.
Key Accountabilities:
- Implement the institution’s innovation strategy aligned with core priorities and vision
- Support senior management and teams in integrating innovation into policies and operations
- Design, coordinate, and monitor innovation initiatives, pilots, and Po Cs
- Advise on methodologies (design thinking, agile experimentation, data-driven innovation)
- Develop and manage innovation toolkits, frameworks, and training materials
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Identify and assess new technologies, processes, and partnerships
- Liaise with external innovation ecosystems (international organizations, research centers, private sector)
- Contribute to governance structures and monitor innovation KPIs
- Build reporting mechanisms for innovation performance and impact
- Prepare analytical reports, presentations, and communication materials
- Engage country authorities and promote cross-country knowledge exchange.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking
- Ability to translate ideas into actionable plans
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- High adaptability, collaboration, and teamwork
- Fluency in Arabic and English (French is an advantage)
Knowledge and
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in:
- Innovation strategy
- Organizational transformation
- Related fields (preferably in international, governmental, or large institutions)
- Master’s degree in innovation, change management, or related field
