MS SQL Administrator
Job LocationAbu Dhabi, UAE
Experience5-7 Years
Role SummaryManage and support Microsoft SQL Server databases in a 24x7 mission-critical environment, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Administer SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) environments
- Manage Always On, clustering, replication, and HA/DR setups
- Handle backups, restores, and disaster recovery validation
- Perform performance tuning and query optimization
- Resolve incidents like blocking, deadlocks, and outages
- Implement database security (encryption, access control, auditing)
- Support patching, upgrades, migrations, and DR drills
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance readiness
- Provide 24x7 on‑call production support
- SQL Server Administration & T‑SQL
- Always On, Clustering, Backup & Recovery
- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
- Power Shell / dbatools (basic)
- Database Security (TDE, auditing, access control)
- Monitoring tools (Solar Winds / Redgate / Idera)
- ITSM tools (Service Now or similar)
- 5-7 years MS SQL DBA experience
- Experience in high-availability production environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- DP-300 certification preferred
- Willingness for on-call and shift support
