Overview

The College of Information Technology (CIT) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) seeks a faculty member for the Department of Computer and Network Engineering with expertise in Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, and Quantum Hardware. The role involves integrating these areas with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to advance next‑generation computing and communication technologies.

• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in quantum and AI‑related courses.
• Establish and lead a competitive research program focused on AI‑driven quantum systems, hybrid classical–quantum architectures, and intelligent hardware design.
• Secure national and international research funding and build collaborative projects.
• Publish high‑impact research in top journals and conferences.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations and contribute to the advancement of the college and the broader academic community.

• Minimum Qualification
  :
  Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses.
• Proven record of research in quantum computing and hardware design, quantum communication and networking, AI for quantum systems, or quantum machine learning and AI‑quantum hybrid algorithms.
• Success or strong potential in securing research funding and building collaborative projects.
• Effective and innovative teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Industrial or practical experience in quantum technologies, advanced computing, or intelligent hardware systems is considered a strong asset.
