Senior Database Administrator – Oracle

Overview

Database Administration Operations.

• Manage and support Oracle database 19c/26ai environments.
• Ensure high availability and reliability using RAC.
• Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Implement database security best practices, including TDE and access controls.
• Drive database hardening activities in line with organizational standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks.
• Review and work with the compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls for databases.
• Coordinate and execute patching activities across database environments.
• Maintain and document the patch execution tracker.
• Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports.
• Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Support change management and release activities.
• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts.
• Actively participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations.
• Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration.

• 4–7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Strong expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with RAC and DR solutions.
• Knowledge of database security, compliance, and hardening practices.
• Experience with enterprise patch management tools.
• Familiarity with Qualys or similar vulnerability management platforms.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Experience in large enterprise or banking environments.
• Exposure to regulatory and audit frameworks.
• Knowledge of monitoring, backup, and automation tools.
