Overview
The SAS Fraud management system design engineer will be responsible for designing and architecting SAS Fraud Management features, including Fraud Rule Workflow, UI configurations, and other tuning and enhancements. The candidate will assist and play a leading role in production rollout and handovers to other build and testing teams. This is a hands-on role requiring experience in design and architecture of fraud management solutions for Tier 1 and 2 banks.
The successful candidate is expected to assist the project team during the project life cycle and other agile BAU work.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions aligned with functional and non-functional requirements, enterprise architecture standards, design patterns, and the bank's technology roadmap.
- Lead the end-to-end solution design and implementation for channel to SAS SFM integration through approved middleware, in line with bank integration architecture principles.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise in messaging and API-based integrations to support accelerated implementation of SAS Fraud Management solutions, including case management and reporting capabilities.
- Promote open standards and cost effectiveness in support of organizational goals and strategic requirements.
- Evaluate architecture patterns and emerging trends to recommend best-fit solutions in compliance with the enterprise architecture governance framework.
- Understand long-term and short-term perspectives of a solution and assess the enterprise-wide impact of the solution.
- Provide technical consultancy to IT and business stakeholders in technology best practices and problem analysis; maximize reuse of existing technology platforms and integration capabilities to meet business and fraud risk requirements.
- Ensure regulatory and audit requirements are addressed as part of solution design and implementations; ensure solutions align with Risk, Compliance, and business continuity practices.
- Experience across the development lifecycle and various software development frameworks and design standards; evaluate third-party and vendor solutions for suitability within the bank's ecosystem, architecture standards, and technology roadmap.
- Analyze and resolve technical, functional, performance, and security issues, proposing robust and scalable solutions with expertise in end-to-end connectivity, data flow analysis, and integration troubleshooting across channels, middleware, and SAS FM platforms.
- Collaborate with delivery and support teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and build a self-sustaining BAU support model.
- Drive accelerated delivery while balancing technical quality and business value, minimizing delivery and operational risks.
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple regulatory and enhancement initiatives in parallel within a high-pressure environment, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining solution quality, architectural integrity, and design standards.
- The candidate should possess a graduate engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent understanding of SAS Fraud Management with a desire to implement new solutions for the bank.
- Technically astute with exposure to databases, scripting, and technical interfacing capabilities using various tools/languages; ability to work independently and in a team with timely delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in SAS Fraud management solution implementation in multiple geographical regions.
- Proven ability to lead the build and operation of complex fraud technology systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Build Engineer working in SAS Fraud Risk solutions; minimum overall SAS SFM SME experience should be 10 years, with the latest SAS SFM experience not older than 2 years.
