Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all requests for features and functionality on Service Now are delivered according to best practice, are documented for future maintenance and improvement, and that user instructions are provided for end‑user training.

- Manage data within the platform and generate reports
- Train users and provide ongoing support for solutions deployed on the Service Now platform
- Ensure compliance with security standards and corporate policies
- Development and Configuration
- Design and develop solutions on the Service Now platform using client scripts, business rules, UI policies.
- Develop using standard Service Now tools such as Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, UI Builder, and Now Create.
- Configure and customize the platform to meet business requirements and maintain/update the platform as needed.
- Integration and Automation
- Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub and MID server.
- Connect Service Now with third‑party systems such as monitoring and HR systems.
- Build orchestration and automated workflows to improve process efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure seamless data flow between the Service Now platform and other systems.
- Custom Application Development
- Develop scoped applications using App Engine Studio and Now Create.
- Create custom tables, forms and workflows.
- Build end‑to‑end business solutions beyond out‑of‑the‑box modules.
- Testing and Deployment
- Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing.
- Deploy update sets and handle conflicts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
- User Training and Support
- Train stakeholders and solution requestors on how to effectively use the developed solutions.
- Develop user guides and training materials.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to platform users.
- Compliance and Security
- Ensure the developed solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the platform.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify trends and recurring issues to implement preventive measures.
The key responsibility is the design and development of requests logged in our pipeline tracker.
Objectives: design, develop and deploy solutions on Service Now based on a solid technical understanding; ensure business requirements are documented, evaluated and converted to technical design; deliver configuration and development of Service Now features, functionality and integrations needed to support business processes.
The role works directly with other Service Now platform team members and ITIL process owners and collaborates closely with specialists across the IT department and enterprise organization.
Qualifications- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Service Now CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM are highly desirable.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience in a technical Service Now developer role.
