Principal Network Engineer – Network & Security Patching Role Overview:
We are looking for Principal Network Engineer to lead patch management, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle maintenance of network and security infrastructure within a highly regulated banking environment.
The role requires expertise in risk assessment, change governance, compliance management, and operational support for enterprise network and security platforms.
Key Responsibilities:Network & Security Patch Management
- Manage the complete patch lifecycle for firewalls, WAFs, IPS, VPNs, routers, and switches.
- Execute upgrades, firmware updates, hotfixes, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Maintain infrastructure patch compliance and security baselines.
- Perform impact analysis, dependency mapping, and risk assessments.
- Ensure adherence to CAB processes, audit requirements, PCI-DSS standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Develop rollback plans and support governance controls.
- Provide L2/L3 support for network and security platforms.
- Support incident resolution, outage management, and root cause analysis activities.
- Collaborate with SOC, NOC, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and patch compliance reports.
- Support automation, process optimization, and operational improvements.
