Senior Engineer - Corporate Network

Role Purpose
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the day‑to‑day management and maintenance of network devices. Following best practices, the Network Operations Engineer will ensure high availability of network operations, maintain the integrity of configuration baselines, meet SLAs, and control operational incidents.
Responsibilities Projects- Derive configurations from low‑high level designs and change requests
- Responsible for any project operational requirements
- Proactively engage with the Project Management Office / Design Authority and external suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery of allocated projects within the specified timelines and budgets, while keeping the Project Management Office updated on progress, technical risks, and issues
- Conduct acceptance testing post‑project implementation
- Maintain LAN/WAN and telephony infrastructure/devices
- Maintain virtual private networks, firewalls, email gateway security, and telephony
- Supervise installation of new hardware equipment
- Implement new changes independently or with the help of service delivery
- Maintain and own configuration of various network devices and manage modifications as per change management policy
- Apply configuration hardening as per security team requirements and vendor best practices
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of current infrastructure design, assets, and topology
- Monitor capacity‑sizing changes, identify violations, and initiate needed actions to notify vendors and IT management
- Maintain working knowledge and/or accreditation in networking (CCIE, CCNP) and IT operations management (ITIL Foundation)
- Bachelor’s in Computer/IT Network Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the field
- Understanding of the following technology areas:
- Routing and Switching (Cisco, Juniper, HP)
- Network Security (L2/L3)
- Encryption
- Firewalls & IPS/IDS (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Barracuda, Forcepoint)
- Network Access Control (Aruba & Cisco)
- Wireless infrastructure
- Telephony/VoIP infrastructure
- VPN technologies (IPSEC, MPLS, SSL, etc.)
- Cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Working knowledge and/or accreditation in networking (CCIE, CCNP, CCNA) and IT operations management (ITIL Foundation)
- Ability to work in a highly pressurized but fulfilling environment
- Proven collaboration skills, strong written/oral English communication, documentation, and reporting skills, and the ability to influence at a management level
- Strong problem diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience in network administration or operations
- Willingness to work out of hours as required
- Ongoing upkeep of skills, technologies, trends, and qualifications against projects within the project portfolio
