Senior AWS Platform Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale AWS-based cloud platforms within a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role focuses on enabling AI-powered applications, ensuring high levels of security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Role OverviewYou will play a key role in building AWS landing zones, standardising infrastructure, and integrating advanced AI/ML services while maintaining strong governance and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy AWS landing zone architectures for enterprise use
- Implement and manage infrastructure via Terraform
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions or similar tools
- Deploy and manage AWS AI/ML services (Bedrock, Sage Maker, etc.)
- Oversee API lifecycle management using AWS API Gateway and/or Kong
- Design and manage cloud networking architectures (VPC, subnets, Direct Connect)
- Drive Fin Ops practices to optimise cloud usage and spend
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support AI and digital application delivery
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the AWS ecosystem
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Git Hub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML services (Bedrock, Sage Maker)
- Strong networking expertise (VPC design, routing, connectivity)
- Experience with API Gateway or Kong
- Understanding of Fin Ops and cloud cost optimisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in enterprise, multi-team environments
