Responsibilities- Support Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices, including attending maintenance calls, device setup, conversions and demos.
- Assist during SFTs / PVCs and perform snag clearance.
- Independently carry out Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on training devices and associated systems.
- Ensure PMTs are completed according to standards, properly signed off, and that all generated deficiencies are followed up and closed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all recurrent QTG runs are completed; action and follow up on all deficiencies.
- Troubleshoot QTG‑related issues and collaborate with the QTG specialist and senior colleagues as needed.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on training devices and promptly update related DRs.
- Support senior colleagues during AOG situations and maintain strong communication with logistics, scheduling, and training teams to ensure smooth training delivery.
- Monitor Simissues and action/update items assigned to the on‑site team.
- Perform required tests and provide clear, concise feedback.
- Coordinate with senior colleagues to ensure Snags and SPRs are actioned within SLA timelines.
- Use the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review maintenance activities.
- Comply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards and safe‑working procedures, demonstrating strong duty of care for personal and team safety.
- Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation field.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules and shift patterns.
- Suitable understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents relevant to simulation devices.
- Knowledge of analog and digital principles and theory.
- Troubleshooting skills for electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Skilled in the use of test equipment and software diagnostic tools.
- Basic understanding of avionics, motion, and visual systems.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, and operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX).
- Highly engaged and motivated individual.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to manage sensitive situations tactfully.
- Strong workmanship and ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
