Job Requirements For NETWORK ENGINEER L1
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
- Perform onsite rack installation, cabling, and hardware replacement activities.
- Execute configuration tasks using console access and remote management tools.
- Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis (Layer 1–3 issues).
- Coordinate with remote engineering teams (e.g., Systal engineers) during deployment and fault resolution.
- Conduct hardware health checks and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with site access, safety, and operational procedures.
- Support migration, upgrade, and expansion projects for network infrastructure.
- Document all activities, configurations, and changes accurately in service management tools.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or similar).
- Knowledge of console cable usage, CLI‑based configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with wireless access point (AP) deployment and optimization.
- Experience with structured cabling and rack setup.
- Understanding of network monitoring.
