The IT & Document Control Manager holds a cross-functional leadership role, overseeing the organizations digital infrastructure and document management systems. This includes driving the strategic development of IT operations, ensuring robust technological support, and maintaining cybersecurity in line with industry standards. The role is pivotal to iTechs digital transformation initiatives, streamlining AEC BIM workflows, enhancing project collaboration platforms, and ensuring that all technical and administrative documents are managed with precision, traceability, and compliance.
Candidates with experience in Architectural, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) firms and a strong understanding of project life cycles, BIM processes, ISO standards, and document control best practices are highly preferred.
CORE Responsibilities Strategic IT Leadership & Infrastructure Management- Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with iTechs operational and service delivery objectives.
- Lead IT budgeting, procurement planning, and cost optimization across software, hardware, and operational services.
- Manage enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization environments, networks, cloud platforms (including Autodesk Construction Cloud), and cybersecurity posture.
- Own and develop IT policies covering architecture, data governance, licensing, DRP/BCP, security, and acceptable use policies.
- Drive digital transformation by integrating cloud, where applicable, AI-powered, and automation tools that support BIM production, project collaboration, and business workflows.
- Continuously evaluate and benchmark IT infrastructure and systems performance, analyze emerging trends, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to support project and operational needs.
- Develop business case justifications and cost-benefit analyses for technology investments.
- Lead vendor and consultant negotiations, manage service agreements, and ensure contractual obligations meet organizational goals, compliance requirements, and service level expectations.
- Oversee hardware and software procurement, licensing compliance, and asset lifecycle management.
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including servers, networks, endpoints, operating systems, system upgrades and updates, cloud platforms, and hybrid infrastructures.
- Manage IT onboarding/offboarding procedures, license compliance, and endpoint lifecycle.
- Oversee the provisioning of end-user support services, including helpdesk, remote access, and training.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and define business and technical requirements for new technology initiatives, ensuring solutions are aligned with operational goals and user needs.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and enforce endpoint security.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness across teams and ensure secure data access, storage, and transmission.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organizations executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and performance of core business systems and BIM environments.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a centralized Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for all corporate and project-related documentation.
- Ensure proper recording, versioning, traceability, and archiving of project-related documents, including but not limited to Shop drawings, RFIs, Submittals, Transmittals, Technical queries, Contracts, NDAs, Minutes of meetings, and As-built documentation
- Enforce document control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 19650 (for BIM), and company QMS.
