We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Infrastructure Support and Monitoring Engineer to provide technical support for enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and associated services. The role is responsible for monitoring infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and system health, while ensuring timely resolution of operational issues to maintain business continuity and service reliability.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support and administration for servers, networks, storage systems, and infrastructure services.
- Monitor the availability, performance, and health of infrastructure environments using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Respond to, investigate, and resolve infrastructure incidents, alerts, and service disruptions within agreed SLAs.
- Perform first-line and second-line troubleshooting for server, network, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Monitor system logs, event alerts, and performance metrics to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Support Windows and Linux server environments, including routine maintenance and operational tasks.
- Manage user-reported incidents, service requests, and escalations through IT service management platforms.
- Analyze infrastructure performance trends and recommend improvements to optimize reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor infrastructure capacity and utilization, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet business needs.
- Support backup operations, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Perform system health checks, patching support, and routine maintenance activities.
- Generate and maintain operational reports related to availability, performance, capacity, incidents, and service levels. Maintain accurate technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure support, system administration, NOC operations, or technical support roles.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Service Now, Jira Service Management, or Remedy.
