This strategic role will focus on assessing the existing data ecosystem and designing scalable, AI‑ready architecture frameworks that enable advanced analytics, self‑service business intelligence, API‑driven services, and future artificial intelligence capabilities.

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will serve as a key technical leader within the Chief Data & Analytics Office, responsible for defining the future‑state enterprise data architecture across one of the region’s largest healthcare organizations. You will evaluate current data platforms and design scalable data foundations including Gold Layer architectures, Common Data Models, and Semantic Layers that support enterprise‑wide reporting, analytics, integration, and AI initiatives.
Working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, governance teams, and technology leaders, you will establish architectural standards and best practices that improve data accessibility, consistency, quality, and governance. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with deep technical expertise in modern data platforms and architecture frameworks. This role is focused on enterprise architecture and long‑term data strategy rather than operational reporting or dashboard development.
- Assess and evaluate the organization’s current enterprise data architecture and analytics landscape.
- Design and implement scalable Enterprise Data Architecture frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Define and establish Common Data Models to promote consistency and interoperability across enterprise systems.
- Design Gold Layer architectures supporting analytics, business intelligence, APIs, and AI use cases.
- Develop and maintain Enterprise Semantic Layers to enable trusted and governed business reporting.
- Establish architecture standards, principles, and best practices for enterprise data management.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement modern Medallion Architecture frameworks.
- Support the development of AI‑ready data platforms capable of supporting advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Define data governance standards, metadata management frameworks, and data quality requirements.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align architecture decisions with organizational goals.
- Guide data platform modernization initiatives and cloud‑based data transformation programs.
- Provide technical leadership for data modeling, integration, and enterprise‑wide information management strategies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Enterprise Data Architecture and large‑scale data transformation initiatives.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing Medallion Architecture frameworks (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers).
- Proven experience developing Common Data Models and Enterprise Semantic Layers.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence architectures.
- Advanced SQL development and data modeling expertise.
- Hands‑on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
- Strong experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
- Expertise in Power BI Semantic Models and enterprise reporting frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable, governed, and AI‑ready data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and metadata management practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and architectural leadership skills.
- Experience working with enterprise‑scale data environments supporting multiple business domains.
- Experience with in healthcare data platforms and digital health ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Cerner and Epic healthcare information systems.
- Experience working with HL7 healthcare integration standards.
- Understanding of FHIR interoperability frameworks and healthcare data exchange models.
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives within regulated environments.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based enterprise data platforms and modern data lakehouse architectures.
